Malik Bendjelloul, director of Searching for Sugar Man, died  this week.  It reminded me of a discussion we had about the film, on the radio, last year. I’m reposting the audio below.  It’s a REWIND! x

The show was the ‘Saturday Salmagundi’ breakfast show. Toby Kell-Ogg had just got back from South Africa, fresh from seeing the film, and seeing Rodriguez perform.

SUICIDE: CALM

Suicide: CALM – In memory of MALIK Bendjelloul & MyCool Bovell

The news reported that Director of Searching For Sugar Man, Malik Bendjelloul’s death this week was due to suicide. Earlier this week a young relative of mine was laid to rest –  he too had committed suicide.  I’m drawn again to share the webpage for CALM.

THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST LIVING MISERABLY, or CALM, is a registered charity, which exists to prevent male suicide in the UK.   Please get in contact with them, they can help. Or if you are worried about someone, they offer a lot of advice.

Calm are holding a charity event on June 19th – CALM Live.
